Jonah and the Giant Peach
Summer is winding down here in the PNW and though I get a little melancholy that I have to start wearing shoes and socks again, the end of summer brings much happiness too. Happiness in the form of fruit! Our garden is bursting with fruits and vegetables and herbs; we are eating from it every day. Peaches, apples, rhubarb, lettuce, kale, scallions, NZ spinach, broccoli, cauliflower, raspberries, potatoes, parsley, tomatoes, beans, cilantro, basil, beets, fennel, oregano, thyme, sage, lavender, arugula, and if we are lucky, we'll be enjoying some peppers and eggplants too. Jonah loves to "help" me in the garden by pulling out weeds (lettuce) and digging new and interesting pathways often through the garden beds. Thank you Jonah.

Port Townsend Wedding
Summertime and the Living is Easy
Who is this guy?
One moment, I'm sitting having a cup of tea, the next moment, my peace is shattered by a grinning 1/2 naked manchild karaoke gameshow host in big blue wool shorts trying to woo me with his charm. The next moment, he's got a hip kicked out and he's striking a pose a la Donna Summer. My goodness, he really is my child isn't he?

A bit overdue but better late than never. We hiked, we soaked, we laughed, it was better than cats. We also ate ice cream but my hands were too sticky to take a photo. Please note Jonah's hat, ie Jason's old hat with new chin straps sewed on. Somehow its difficult to find a hat to fit my child's generously sized cabesa. Oh well, big head, big brains.
