A new rain jacket from Nanna, a found watering can, a pair of crocs, the ubiquitous tail, daffodils and tulips, a garden scoop, an old chair renewed with a bit of paint, a tool belt and hard hat... The presence of so much orange and yellow in our lives can only mean that spring has arrived....

A Study of Hairstyles
Jonah loves to wear hats. On the rare occasion that he is without a hat, we're always pleasantly surprised to see his hair. Especially on days like these. In the first few, what appears to be his golden aura is actually his platinum afro.
Jason has nicknamed Jonah "Albert Sting" giving homage to two very different men with very interesting hair. Personally, I think Jonah looks like a Swiss Ice Climber.

Billy Joel?
Our puppy is a playful puppy and he loves to play fight with Jason or I. Jonah observes everything and has decided, in this particular instance, to get in on the action by leaping on my back and riding me like a horse. He loves it so much that after pulling some of my hair from his mouth, he actually stops the action to give me a kiss. I love my boy! Oh, Billy Joel? Yeah, my sister was in town. Rock on!
More Home Work
So, how do we keep busy on rainy days? Well, we "fold" laundry, wear vests and play dress up, to name but a few. Please note: all vests supplied by the hand of Nanna Carolyn, except the pink striped one as you devoted readers might recognize as the Highlander Mandress. And the purse? Yes, thats my old suede number that I used to rock downtown Orlando with. Thats right.
springtime
Supposedly, spring has arrived. and on some days, I believe it. The weather is warmer, the bulbs are blooming and the cherries are blossoming. But the rains continue to fall and its been a bit chilly as of late. We've been loving our Friday mornings at Sunfield Farm, our local Waldorf farm/school. Jonah's been meeting chickens (bagas), sheep (baas), cows (boos), cats (numenahs), and bunnies (.......) as well as spending time with his wonderful friends. We've also been busy planting native trees and shrubs on our land. Jonah is an amazing helper; he loves to hammer in the stakes and hand me "baby hats" (aka plant protectors). We've also been in the garden preparing beds for spring planting. All in all, a busy season, even if it still a little wet and rainy outside
