In Australia, sheep are aged by their teeth. A two-toother is about a year and a half old and isn't known to be the most tender of meats. Fortunately, Jonah is not an Australian sheep. Although sometimes he sounds like one.
Finally! We have found something he really likes. He would eat avocado morning, noon and night if we let him. It makes sense considering the kilos of avocados I ate during pregnancy.
The video speaks for itself. Looks like I'll be eating all the nectarine puree I've made. Serves me right for steaming, pureeing, and freezing 40 pounds of nectarines without checking to see if he actually liked it or not.
The era of solid foods has begun. We began with banana and it wasn't pretty. Judging by his hilarious facial expressions, Jonah didn't find it too tasty. But we'll keep trying. Next week, nectarines and avocado.
Jonah became a fire faerie last weekend for a wondrous wedding celebration on the Mackenzie River in Oregon. He drank a bit too much, got a little tipsy and crashed hard at the end of the night.
We enjoyed a day at Fort Worden Beach last week during our heat wave. Jonah put his toes into the sand and Jason put his whole body into the not warm water. Mama just soaked in the sun. Yes, Jonah has officially outgrown his hat.
